How this started
A borrowed keyboard with two dead keys in the middle octave, and a beginner who assumed for three months that she was playing them wrong. Nobody had told her that a stuck key feels different, or that a keybed can be tested in thirty seconds.
That is a small thing that puts people off an instrument entirely. Every unit we send goes out having had all of its keys pressed by a person, and that is not a marketing line — it is the whole reason the shop was started.
Nobody gives up on a piano because it was too hard. They give up because something was wrong with it and they did not know.
Our commitment
Key action named plainly
Fully weighted, semi-weighted or synth action is stated on every listing, along with whether the action is graded across the keyboard. Those words are often left off, and they are the difference that matters most.
Every key sounded before dispatch
Each instrument is powered up and played across its full range here. Anything with a dead, sticking or uneven key does not leave.
Polyphony and pedal support stated as the maker gives them
Published as supplied to us and marked as the maker’s figure. We do not restate specifications in our own more flattering words.
What we do not claim
We sell under our own name. We are not an authorised dealer for any manufacturer, we hold no service agency, and nothing here is described as an official or genuine version of another company’s product. Where a listing names a key count or an action type, that is a measurement of the instrument, not an endorsement by anybody.
The catalogue is short because a keyboard has to sit here for a fortnight before it is listed. Instruments whose speakers buzzed at volume, whose sustain pedal polarity fought the socket, or whose weighted action was weighted in name only did not make it on.
Online only
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Maviro Gallery trades entirely online and ships across India from Nagpur, Maharashtra, which keeps overheads off the price of the goods.
